One of my favourite places to get high-quality stock images is Unplash. They upload ten free images every ten days, and they are always beautiful, artistic photos that I love! The best part is, they are even free for commercial use.
Today I was inspired to use a photo I found there to create a hand-lettered typography design. The fonts are all from Lisa Glaanz - I can't even explain how much I look up to her as a designer! I love her illustrations and hand-drawn fonts. I own way too many of her products.
I am uploading this freebie for you to use anywhere. Please feel free to print it out, make it a wallpaper, pin it, make a folder cover, anything you like! If you would like the full sized original, just flick me a message and I'll send it to you :)

Storyline Online
Hi again,
I just wanted to quickly share a fantastic resource that I have used in the library this year. It is called 'Storyline Online'. It features some great books that are read by a variety of personalities. It is completely free and presented really well. It was recommended to me by my partner in crime in the library - Kayla.
My personal favourite is 'The Kiss That Missed' by David Melling - read by Karan Brar. He is a young man who makes a great role model for dramatic storytelling.
I am hoping to use this website as inspiration for a project next year - I would love to record my students reading books out loud like this for a range of audiences. Watch this space!

Hi again! It has been a shamefully long time since I last posted, because not long after I started my blog I found out I was pregnant! Anyway I have since had a gorgeous baby girl, Sophie, and I'm ready to get back into the thick of it.
A few interesting things have happened to me lately. I have started earning a bit of money each month now from my Teachers Pay Teachers store which is really exciting.
I also got an email from the creator of a new Australian (yay!) website that is similar to TpT called Teach in a Box. They asked if I would be interested in making a store on their website because they like my products so that was a huge morale boost! You can check out my store here.
I'm not a huge fan of their website layout but there's great content for teachers on there, and I love the fact that it's an Australian site so we have 'Autumn' instead of 'Fall', cm instead of inches, 'Mum' instead of 'Mom', etc. It's great news for Aussie teachers!
Here is a sneak peek of my latest products, I am hoping to find some time to design more soon:

I have some more Kindy/Year One reading products coming out soon so watch this space!
I have also been volunteering at church and doing their design work. I find it really satisfying. I will endeavour to post some of my designs on here as I get a chance to. Here is one for our recent 'Church at the Chapel' event:
I'm looking forward to going back to work in January after my maternity leave, so watch this space for more on being a teacher librarian, graphic design and life in general. Thanks for reading!
